Our signature EXTENSIONISTA WEAVE:
Sew-in weave with a hidden bead foundation
1 row (60 to 90 grams): For women with thin hair density.
2 rows (120 to 180 grams): For women with medium hair density.
3 rows (180 to 270 grams): For women with thick hair density.
We can use more hair/grams per row if necessary.
Invisible Tape-in Extensions:
30 individual pieces (15 pairs/sandwiches) 75 grams: For women with thin hair density.
40 individual pieces (20 pairs/sandwiches) 100 grams: For women with medium hair density.
50 individual pieces (25 pairs/sandwiches) 125 grams: For women with thick hair density
60 individual pieces (30 pairs/sandwiches) 150 grams: For women with thick hair density.
We can use more extension pieces if necessary.

Maintenance appointment
This service is done every 6 to 8 weeks after the initial installation. We'll remove the extensions and re-install them closer to your scalp.
At this appointment, we'll check your natural hair and scalp to make sure that there is no damage.

Hey, I'm Nathalie!
Born in Cameroon.
I'm bilingual (French & English).
I left Cameroon when I was 18 years old and I joined my older sister, Laure in Houston, Texas, where I attended University.
I first went to Lone Star College System in Houston, then transferred to Sam Houston State University (go Bearkats!), from which I graduated with a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Management.
I got married to an awesome guy named Etienne and moved to Calgary, Alberta at the end of 2010.
We have four amazing children (Jayden, 10. Sylvia, 8. Oliver, 6. Lionel, 4 years old).
I attended cosmetology school at Delmar College in Calgary. I am a licensed hairstylist. I specialize in hair extensions.
My first professional job in the cosmetology industry was at a hair salon in Houston, in 2006 called Heidi & Jojo's.
Over the years, I’ve held a few other jobs such as computer lab assistant, call center operator, mystery shopper... but I've never stopped doing hair. I even got a Texas real estate license in 2010 (which is probably no longer valid).
I launched Extensionista Salon in 2011 in Calgary. I wanted to create a safe and private environment where women would feel comfortable talking about their hair insecurities or anything else they wanted to share. I get to meet some incredible women from different walks of life, which is one of the things that make my job so enjoyable.
I launched the EXTENSIONISTA ACADEMY in November of 2020. It's a complete training program about hair extensions as well as business and marketing strategies for hairdressers and salon owners.
FUN FACT ABOUT ME: I was born in a car ... literally! My dad was driving my mom, who was in labor, to the hospital to give birth to me but I guess I was very impatient to see the world, LOL.

About Extensionista Hair Extensions
Extensionista's "INVISIBLE TAPE-IN EXTENSIONS" are designed to mimic hair growth from the scalp. This makes the extensions easier to hide when installed.
Another great benefit of these invisible tape-in extensions is that you can create amazing custom colors, root smudges... without worrying about the tape wefts being a different color than the extensions.
Our INVISIBLE/HIDDEN BEAD SEW-IN WEAVE METHOD ensures that your extensions lay flat against the scalp and makes it easier for you to hide the extension beads when putting your hair up in a high ponitail.
Extensionista hair extensions are made with 100% top quality remy human hair. No tangling or shedding.
For our tape-in extensions, each piece of extensions is handmade by injecting hair into a polyurethane base to give the illusion of hair growing directly from the scalp. It makes the extensions very easy to hide.
We only use handtied extensions for our sew-in weave method to ensure that your extension lays as flat as possible against your scalp.
How are tape-in extensions installed
Tape-in extensions are installed by sandwiching a thin slice of your hair between 2 pieces of extensions. It takes around an hour and a half to complete a full installation, including blending and styling. Each installation lasts about 6 to 8 weeks. Extensionista hair extensions are reusable for about a year or more.
How are hidden beads sew-in weave extensions installed
Micro beads are applied to your hair horizontally then handtied weft extensions are sewn across the micro beads to attach them securely. This process is painless.

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
Proper care is important to keep your hair extensions looking and feeling their best. Here are some tips on how to care for your hair extensions:

Brush your hair extensions regularly with a soft-bristle brush to prevent tangles. Start at the ends and work your way up to the roots.

Wash your hair extensions with a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Be gentle when washing and avoid rubbing or twisting the hair.

Use a deep conditioning treatment once a week to keep your hair extensions hydrated and healthy.

Avoid using heat tools on your hair extensions as much as possible. If you do use heat, use a heat protectant spray and a lower heat setting.

Don't sleep with wet hair extensions. Make sure they are completely dry before going to bed.

When swimming or exercising, tie your hair extensions up in a loose braid or ponytail to prevent tangling.

Avoid using products with alcohol, as they can dry out the hair.

Get your hair extensions professionally repositioned or adjusted every 6-8 weeks, depending on the type of extensions.

✅ Arriving & check-in
We kindly ask that all clients arrive on time and with their hair ready for their scheduled appointments.
If you are more than 10 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled and you will immediately be charged a $100 no-show fee.
If you arrive more than 5 minutes prior to your appointment time, We ask that you kindly wait in your vehicle until your appointment time as We may not be available to let you into the salon.
✅ Appointment cancellation policy
We understand that emergencies happen. If you need to cancel your appointment, we simply ask that you notify us of any cancellations or rescheduling at least 24 hours prior to the appointment to avoid a $100 charge. We reserve the right to cancel any non-confirmed appointment at any time.
✅ Client/service refusal
We reserve the right to refuse any services should we feel the service requested is not up to our standards, or may compromise the integrity of the hair.
We also reserve the right to refuse service to any clients should we feel threatened due to verbal or physical abuse of any sort.
✅ Methods of payment
At Extensionista Salon, we accept e-transfer payments. We also accept Visa, Mastercard, American express. We accept cash payments but please be sure to have the exact amount as we may not have any change.
✅ Returns
We pride ourselves in the quality of our work and strive to ensure that every client who leaves our salon is 100% satisfied. However, if you find that you are unhappy with the end result of your service, we would be more than happy to make any necessary adjustments to your hair. Please note that we do not offer complimentary services as a result of a change of mind.
Please be advised that there is 24/7 video surveillance at the salon.
